Board of directors

Per Algot Enevoldsen

Founder and Chairman

Before AEF, Per had founded and established world-renowned jewelry brand, Pandora. His experience running the jewelry brand and his interactions with his employees are what inspired him to start AEF, bringing the same “can do” attitude and spirit of compassion into the DNA of the organization. He believes that one’s privilege should be used to empower another to help them achieve their fullest potential.

Martin Høyer-Hansen

Vice-chairman

Martin is currently the chairman and board member on several Philanthropic foundations in Denmark and Singapore. He believes that philanthropic efforts are all about paving the way for human development, especially in places where opportunities to flourish are scarce. To him, human development means realizing the full potential of every life. He lives by a quote from Helen Clark: “Human development is all about freedom … [for] all lives in every corner of the world—now and in the future”.

Mette Ekeroth

Managing Director

Mette brings a decade of experience in development policy and cooperation, uniting stakeholders to address complex problems. From the Danish Foreign Service to heading philanthropy in the North-East Family Office under Per in 2018, she strives to empower children in building better futures for themselves and their families, believing that no one should be limited by their circumstances or environment.

Huda Mohd Sa’ad

Director and Secretary

Having spent 10 years in the corporate secretarial arena, Huda’s role is to ensure AEF operates in accordance to corporate compliance, and regulatory and legal provisions. She believes in helping individuals realise their potential through self-awareness and actualization, allowing each individual to express their creativity in ways that propel them forward in life.

Carol Liew

Director

Carol has 12 years of non-profit, consultancy, and philanthropic experience, specialising in the areas of sustainable livelihoods, migration, and community development. With her past roles in program design, impact management, and partnerships building, she now looks to support projects that empower communities to overcome their past and current circumstances and fulfil their potential.
